About

The Cycling Team aims to represent San Francisco State University at the highest level of competitive collegiate cycling. Not since the mid 90's has San Francisco State been represented competitively, and consequently, the 2011-2012 season will mark a revival for Cycling at SF State University.

Despite being a new team, SF State already boasts several experienced riders on its roster, who plan to introduce cycling to potential student athletes and develop new talent at the grassroots collegiate level of the sport.

As the sole collegiate team based in the city of San Francisco, the SF State Cycling Team will compete in the West Coast Collegiate Cycling Conference (WCCC) during the Spring, against national championship winning powerhouses such as UC Berkeley, UC Davis, Stanford, UCLA, Cal Poly SLO, and various other collegiate teams based in California and Nevada.

This first year, the Cycling Team aims to:
  1. Recruit new and experienced student athletes.
  2. Support student athlete development at all levels.
  3. Represent SF State and Sponsors in all major races of the WCCC.
  4. Qualify to Collegiate Nationals.
  5. And of course, win races.
